Having left her country at only 10 years old while trying to understand her parents' separation, Katherinne understands the struggles of having to grow up too fast.
Her love for writing and reading started at 14 as a way to learn English and the culture of her new home. For most of her life, she felt underwater and misunderstood.
At 16, the moon became her muse, diving back into some of the most traumatic events of her life, not by choice but because remembering is healing, “The Moon and Her Craters” was born. As a way to explore herself as a human, heal from trauma and cope with being a teenager in a foreign country, she decided she wanted to create art out of these experiences; with hope that it will help someone else. Finally after 6 years of work, she’s ready to release this project to the world.
