Peter Ewer is a Melbourne-based writer and historian. He has published in local and international history journals, and his book, Forgotten Anzacs: The Campaign in Greece 1941, was the first treatment of this neglected campaign in fifty years. Wounded Eagle: The Bombing of Darwin and Australia's Air Defence Scandal shed new light on the defence crisis of 1942, exposing political interference in the plans of the RAAF in the late 1930s. His doctoral thesis on the Australian aircraft industry won a university research prize. He is married with two children.
