About the Author

Christian Bocquée: I trained as an animator originally, obtaining a Bachelor of Animation from Queensland College of Art. I began my artistic career as an animation assistant in a Brisbane studio where I worked on a number of fairly high profile projects, including The Proud Family for Disney TV. After that I went wandering for a few years and found myself in Japan where I taught English as a second language. I also worked for a brief time with my rudimentary Japanese language skills in a Tokyo antique shop specializing in samurai armour, swords, Japanese prints and ceramics. From the minute Susan Taylor could read she wanted to be an author, writing stories from her family and friends. After school she studied Media and Cultural Studies at University and received a diploma in copy writing. Following this she then ended up starting a career in Public relations. After several years working in PR agencies she decided to go freelance, and within a short while had set up her own agency with a former colleague and friend, which became extremely successful. Susan lives with her husband and three sons.
