Malcolm Templeton holds a Doctor of Literature from the University of Otago. Previously, he served as Deputy Secretary of Foreign Affairs. He has drawn on official archives to record some major aspects of New Zealand’s diplomatic history. His books include A Wise Adventure: New Zealand & Antarctica 1920-1960 (VUP, 2000), and Standing Upright Here: New Zealand in the Nuclear Age 1945-1990 (VUP, 2006).
