An insightful moving story of growing up Orthodox and a dark family secret.

1969 - Brought up in the Orthodox Jewish community by an authoritarian father, David Kaisman's life was tightly governed by rules and strictures. Desperate to break free, he takes a job at an advertising agency owned by a gentile. But the guilt of disappointing his father and the disapproval of the close-knit community are exacting a toll on his psyche.
Enter Jorie-Anne Fielding, secretary to the agency's boss. She's ready for a new start after a bad break-up. When she and David are introduced, she's intrigued by his dark good looks, but his reserved and aloof personality causes open animosity between them. Working late one evening, he begins to talk about his life revealing an intriguing new world to Jorie and igniting sparks of long suppressed emotions within himself.
But David's burgeoning new life is about to implode. The person he idolized has kept a dark and shameful secret that will turn his life upside down. And now Jorie is asking David to make a choice which will ultimately decide their fate.
