About the Author

Alyssa Schermel is a storyteller of many forms: author, actor, singer and children's princess entertainer. She loves sparking imagination and creative expression in kids as a way of building self-esteem. She is also a nutrition researcher with an M.Sc. from the University of Toronto and B.Sc. from McMaster University. When Alyssa isn't researching or storytelling, she enjoys travelling (especially to Europe!), eating anything Italian, and spending time with her husband and furbaby Poppy, a very cuddly and goofy rescue mutt from Cuba.
