Synopsis

About the Author

Jameelah Shareef is a Wisconsin native born and raised in the city of Milwaukee, where she spent many days learning about the importance of community, business, education, and the arts. Always a dreamer, Jameelah found herself creating stories and characters in her mind, acting them out in her imagination, and recording these events in her journals.Because of her passion for the arts, she jumped at the opportunity to attend Milwaukee High School of the Arts and major in dance. Graduating in 1992, Jameelah went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she acquired a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education, with an English minor. Later she returned to UW-Milwaukee to acquire a Masters in Nonprofit Management & Leadership.Jameelah is the proud owner of ALIVE@ STUDIOJAM, LLC and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with youth and adults in the Milwaukee area. Today, she makes it a goal to connect with community leaders and organizations to help keep Milwaukee clean and safe. Through her business initiatives, she focuses on education, finance, and charitable works.
