"Drawing on the editor's extensive experience in teaching and auditing, as well as contributions from international experts, this book provides a guide to the practical evaluation and auditing of welfare problems, emphasizing the importance of measuring conditions that compromise welfare."
"Overall, this book provides a valuable, single first point of reference for those seeking to assess and ensure animal welfare in the own operations, or as a starting point in the development of a welfare assurance process. Tertiary educators will find that the text also serves as a valuable accompaniment to animal welfare courses for animal science and veterinary students studying production animals."
