9781781350041: They Did You Can: How to achieve whatever you want in life with the help of your sporting heroes

A book for young people about what it takes to achieve something, anything, in any walk of life and how, when you scratch the surface of any high achiever, you find the same sorry collection of anxieties, fears, insecurities and self-doubt that the rest of us experience daily. The difference is that high achievers don’t let the negative thoughts win.

Ian Gilbert is one of the UK's leading educational innovators, speakers and writers with twenty years experience working with young people and educationalists around the world. He is the founder of Independent Thinking Ltd, the editor of the Independent Thinking Press and the author of a number of titles including Why Do I Need a Teacher When I've Got Google?. Review:

"It doesn't matter where you live, what your family background is or how talented you are academically. Never say 'IF only', If is a BIG word, but IF you believe in your ability, like all of the sporting heroes in this book, take up the challenge YOU can make a difference!." -- Jonathan Davies, MBE "author"
