Synopsis
‘Then I was there myself, just another face in the crowd, watching the bikes fly by. The smells, the noise and the speed were all there for me to experience. It was like a massive injection in my head and it just blew my mind. I knew within seconds that I was going to be a TT racer. About the Author
John is best known as one of the most successful Isle of Man TT champions in history, with 23 titles to his name. He was also the first person to break through the 130mph barrier. He won the Selgrave Trophy in 2015, and a left-hand bend on the Snaefell Mountain Course has been named after him. He was given the freedom of the city of Lancaster in 2007, and still lives in Morecambe with his wife Becky and their two children.
