About the Author

Safet HadžiMuhamedović is an anthropologist of landscape and religion. He is a Research Associate in Inter-Faith Relations in the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge, a Research Associate at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge, and a Senior Teaching Fellow in Anthropology at SOAS University of London. Safet has conducted fieldwork in Bosnia, Palestine, and the Basque Country since 2009 and has been recipient of a number of prestigious research and teaching awards. He has convened courses in anthropology at the University of Bristol, Goldsmiths University of London, SOAS University of London, and Goethe University Frankfurt. He has written on sacral landscapes, time and historicity, water, political agency of "nonhuman" beings, and ontological approaches to the question of home, and is the author of Waiting for Elijah: Time and Encounter in a Bosnian Landscape and a co-editor of Post-Home: Dwelling on Loss, Belonging and Movement.
