It's not easy being the tiniest tree on the lot. Every year I get overlooked, but this year is going to be different. This year, I have a three-step plan! First, I'm going to fill my two bald spots with green weeds. Second, I'm going to face best side forward. And third, I'm going to think positive thoughts. Now, I know it's not much of a plan but it's all I have. I can't beg a family to take me home. Trees can't talk to people. It freaks them out.

After being passed over for years and threatened to be put at the end of the road - Douglas unroots himself and sets off to find a family. Douglas ends up on a life-changing journey that changes his life and others' lives in the process. While he goes out with the intention to change physically, it is the emotional change that makes a true impact on his life.
