As said by Rowan Williams the Archbishop of Canterbury: 'This is a deeply helpfull and creative guide, to be welcomed not only by the general reader but by the Christian student for whom R.S.Thomas can be a disturbing and unsettling voice.' As said by Professor M.Wynn Thomas: 'This is a thoughtful, lucid, attractively written meditation ...Accessible in its style of approach to its subject, it is likely to prove very attractive to that substantial body of dedicated readers of Thomas's devotional poetry who are drawn to it primarily for the religious faith it artictulates in compellingly contemporary terms.'
