Philip Novak holds (among other educational qualifications) an M.A. and Ph. D. in Religious Studies from Syracuse University. He has been teaching religion and philosophy now for almost twenty years, as well as writing numerous articles and books on the subjects, which include The World's Wisdom: Sacred Texts of the World's Religions (Harper, 1994). He is currently Professor and Chairman of Philosophy and Religion at Dominican College in California.
General editor Jacob Needleman adds this to others in the 'Spirit of Philosophy' series, presenting a basic introduction to philosopher Nietzsche's life and writings and using his writings to trace the foundations of his thought. Students will find this a fine introduction which examines all facets of Nietzsche's work. -- Midwest Book Review
