Mark Asquith is the author of Reading the Novels of John Williams: A Flaw of Light (2018); The Lost Frontier: Reading Annie Proulx's Short Stories (Bloomsbury, 2014); Annie Proulx's Brokeback Mountain and Postcards: A Readers' Guide (Bloomsbury, 2009); and Thomas Hardy, Metaphysics and Music (2005) in addition to numerous articles on 19th-century English and contemporary American literature.
