About the Author

Formerly assistant curator at Barbican Art Gallery, Charlotte Bonham-Carter is now assistant curator at the ICA, London, and editor of ROLAND, the gallerys visual arts program magazine. She writes for Flash Art, Contemporary and Art Press, and was a contributor to The Portrait Now (National Portrait Gallery).
David Hodge is a writer and researcher with a specialized interest in the relationship between art and politics.
