About the Author
D. H. Lawrence was an English novelist whose works characterize the demoralizing effects of modernism and urban industrialization on society. Some of his most famous works include: Sons and Lovers; Women in Love and The Virgin and the Gypsy. Most notorious of all his novels was Lady Chatterley s Lover, which was initially banned in both the UK and the USA and was not published in its uncensored form in the UK until 1960 after an obscenity trial.
