Tugby and Keythorpe Through the Ages records development of the land from the old field system through the enclosure to the farms of the 1950s, activities of the Lords of the manor, trades and occupation of inhabitants. It follows improvements in provisions for health and welfare through activities of the vestry and parish councils, and refers to changes in practices wrought by the coming of the railway and development of motor transport. The book also records activities of the church and chapel and leisure activities of the villagers. The content is much enhanced by its many illustrations, which include several ancient maps of the area and more than fifty photos of people and places in the parish.
