There’s the Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil, which contains amazing galleries and theaters; Adelaide Park Lands in Australia, which is unique because it encloses the entire city center; and Britain’s first park, the Arboretum in Derby. About the Author
Christopher Beanland is a journalist and author who specializes in architecture and travel writing. He is the author of Unbuilt: Radical Visions of a Future That Never Arrived and Pool, also published by Batsford. He writes regularly for The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph, and Mr Porter, and he lives in London.
