Gjerasim Qiriazi was a pioneering educationalist, an advocate of a free Albania, and a pastor who sought to bring a message of hope to his people. John Quanrud recounts the life of this remarkable patriot driven to carry out his 'sacred task', whatever the cost. An amazing tale of courage and sacrifice, A Sacred Task brings history to the fore and unearths a shining example of living faith as it interacts with the political and ethnic tensions of its day.
