Synopsis
It is the summer of 1943.
The world is at war, but at home in Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, Deputy Glenville serves his constituents and prepares for an election campaign. It is also a crucial year in the lives of his wife and children: the imminent execution of an IRA man threatens to open old wounds and expose a well kept secret from the Deputy's past. Relationships between his daughter Christine and a young Army lieutenant and between Asya, the Jewish girl entrusted to his care and his son Bobby, all have the potential to alter the Glenville household irrevocably.
