Twenty-five years after its launch, Honda's Gold Wing still stands unchallenged as a touring motorcycle, par excellence. Gold Wings have an unrivalled following among Japanese marques, with more than 100,000 members in owners' clubs worldwide. This book describes and illustrates not only the technical development of the Gold Wing, but also how it became a lifestyle motorcycle, from the first Gold Wing that appeared in 1974 to the much-improved GL1100, the Interstate, Aspencade, GL1200, GL1500, Valkyrie and the new GL1800.
