One of the region's most talented artists to emerge in recent years, Sheikha Alyazia's artwork is highly distinctive, conveying a unique view of the world. Intersections presents a body of Sheikha Alyazia's work that represents a new wave of Emirati art and bridges the gap between the old and the new. The young sheikha, daughter of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan the minister of culture, youth and social development, is probably most well known for her work Carrom Station, a sculptural and painting series focusing on the traditional Emirati game of the same name, which she fuses with new technology. Her monographis a retrospective look at her art since she began with biographical information about the young artist. Alyazia's artistic talents were apparent at a young age. She has since developed a unique approach in her paintings which are characterized by cultural reflections joined together with canvas transformations. She has participated in numerous art exhibitions and events and has collaborated on various occasions with the Ministry of Culture. This will not be the first partnership between Sheikha Alyazia and Artspace as her groundbreaking first solo exhibition entitled "Dialogue" was held at the gallery in 2011. Artspace Gallery is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary Middle Eastern art and artists. With its two locations in Dubai and London, Artspace caters to a vast and diverse global collector base. Sheikha Alyazia bint Nahyan al Nahyan, the Emirati artist who has had her work displayed in Emirati Expressions and been nominated for the International Emerging Artist Award, has a new book out featuring her art.
