About the Author:

Paul White, who was born in Yorkshire, north England, left school to train as an electronics engineer with the Ministry of Aviation. Always a performing musician -- playing first drums then guitar -- he has been on the recording scene ever since home recording became popular, leaving the commercial electronics sector to become a technical author. Currently Editor of the respected industry leader Sound On Sound, Paul was previously the Editor of Home Studio Recording, Audio Media and Recording Musician and Technical Editor of Guitarist, Home Keyboard Review and Rhythm. In his spare time, Paul continues to run a studio, producing recordings for bands as well as composing and recording his own music. Now living in Malvern with his wife and daughter, Paul was nominated UK Editor Of The Year in 1998.
