From the Publisher:

About the Author:

Lori Carangelo serves as President of Americans For Open Records (AmFOR), a voluntary international human rights advocacy network she founded in 1989. She has written over 400 published articles and 8 books--6 dealing with adoption issues.

From her Palm Springs area home and without fee, Lori has helped over 10,000 families reconnect with missing relatives--including adult adoptees, parents, genalogy buffs and prisoners. Lori calls her work a "labor of love," compelled by her own loss of two children--a newborn baby girl believed switched at birth for a stillborn infant, and a baby boy stolen for secret adoption. She may never find her daughter, but located her son in Connecticut by paying an undergound informant after searching for him 18 years. They have exchanged cross-country visits ever since.

Retired from environmental resources administration and Private Industry Council successful job programs administration, Lori has served as data source to the United Nations "Rights of the Child Project" and Hague Intercountry Adoption and Abduction Conferences. She is listed in Marquis "Who's Who of American Women (1999-2000)."
