About the Author

Will Herberg (1906-1977) was one of the most influential contemporary interpreters of Jewish religion. Among his other important works is the landmark Protestant-Catholic-Jew: An Essay in American Religious Sociology.Dr. Neil Gillman is Chair of the Department of Jewish Philosophy at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America; his most recent book is The Death of Death: Resurrection and Immortality in Jewish Thought.
