Colors Dancing in Air is the story of a young rebellious girl, Naughty Bratty Annie, who meets Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and all of the toymakers for the children of the world. Her attitudes and ways of being are accepted and her attributes are praised. She slowly opens up to these generous people and finds that her rebellion and attitudes are not as much fun as they used to be.
The lessons Naughty Bratty Annie learns about love and life are profound. She learns about her Light and the Light that is inside each living person, where it comes from and why it is so special. She is taught that Christmas is a celebration of Jesus Christ coming to earth and that Santa is what might be called a Jesus helper. She learns that her existence is God’s gift to her and that she must love herself and take care of herself. She must first love herself in order to be able to love others. She begins to realize that the entire effort of gift giving during Christmas is to demonstrate to the children of the world what a wonderful thing giving truly is, within the spirit of God.
Naughty Bratty Annie’s transformation into herself – Stephanie – is brought about by the love and caring from a generous people who live in the land of Truth and Love, in Ytilaer, where reality is filled with Light and happiness. She is returned to her home, where she is greeted by her family who are amazed at the changes in her. Stephanie is secure in her knowledge that God watches over her. As the story concludes, she is filled with the clarity of what she can do to make this world a happier place.

I offer this piece with hope that the world indeed can become a better place, and above all that the reason for the season of Christmas is defined and re-established for what it truly celebrates – the Greatest gift of all – the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I am troubled with the choices we are saturated with in today’s world. They are driven by a dark force that is becoming more and more accepted and in some cases, sought. Being of concern I feel we should be able to provide a positive alternative that is both entertaining and fruitful. I know my life with God at the helm is the best quality that I have ever experienced. The Truth does not lie and offers everlasting happiness with no regrets or side effects. He nourishes people’s lives and never leaves them alone in their time of need, or at anytime. He is our best friend and the answer to all despair.
I am only the writer, for the inspiration instilled in me during this writing was far beyond my own creativity and talent. It is the most gratifying thing I have ever been a part of, and I pray only that my part in its creation give it the merit it deserves. And most of all this is for my family, my wife, kids and first granddaughter who are all in the book, and to the four new granddaughters since; Abby, Niamiah, Nevaeh and Giada. My love for you is immeasurable, and God’s love for all of us is everlasting. Amen.About the Author:
John Joseph Vigil III was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the summer of 1956. He was an only boy, growing up with three sisters. John did not have a tremendous amount of difficulty entertaining himself with the most simple of things. In fact, two of his favorite play items as a young boy were a string and a balloon, and not necessarily together.
John graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1974 and attended New Mexico State University as a Music Major, majoring in percussion. He left school his senior year and performed in musical acts across the Midwest and west Texas until settling in Albuquerque in 1982. John received a Bachelor of University Studies degree from the University of New Mexico in 1991, where he emphasized his area of study to economics.
Currently living in Albuquerque with his wife – Isabel – and family, John works for the City of Albuquerque in the Department of Finance and Administrative Services. He still enjoys performing on the local music scene and in his church choir. John and his wife are active Christian members in St. Edwin’s and St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic parishes in Albuquerque. He enjoys listening to Christian radio and any organization professing that Jesus Christ is Lord.
