About the Author:
MICHAEL J. PACIOREK, Ph.D.: is Professor and Coordinator of the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance at Eastern Michigan University. He has worked in the field of sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities for over 25 years. He has served as a volunteer, coach, and member of Special Olympics Michigan and has been involved in numerous capacities for the U.S. Olympic Festivals and the U.S. Disabled Sports Teams.

JEFFERY A. JONES, M.P.E.: Is the Director of Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's Center for Health and Fitness and the Wirz Sports Program, one of the largest disability sports and recreation programs in the U.S. He has been involved in sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities for more than 20 years as a coach, administrative staff, and volunteer.
