About the Author

John Hill is a former engineer and doctor of Chiropractic.  He was born in the Ozarks of Missouri and lived there when electricity, telephones and indoor plumbing were non existent.  What many call "homesteading" and "survivalism" were simply the basics of day to day life.  The majority of the family food supply came from farm and garden produce and livestock as well as hunting and fishing.  He has continued to cultivate his wilderness and survival skills throughout life. Today, he lives in the Pacific Northwest and is active in writing and teaching in the areas of survival skills, natural health and healing and other areas of interest.
