Maywan Shen Krach is the author of "D Is for Doufu: An Alphabet Book of Chinese Culture." She was born and educated in Taiwan, but came over to the United States when she was 23 years old for graduate studies. After teaching ten years in the public school systems, she started Shen's Books as a publisher and a distributor of children's literature that affirm universal values. "I Love China" is her second book. Youshang Tang has illustrated numerous children's books after immigrating from China. He has three books published with Shen's Books — "Pie-Biter" and "I Love China" already published, and "Abadeha: The Philippine Cinderella" to be released on March 1, 2001.
