About the Author

Authors wrote this while in a computer classroom and lab environment. Terry B. Maxwell adapted math and multimedia writing activities. Joan E. Hughes focused on the writing, database, and spreadsheet activities. Both authors continue in educational careers, though from different angles. Joan has gotten her PhD and is an associate professor at University of Texas in Austin. Terry has continued with writing and publishing other instructional materials, while now expanding her publishing business into general nonfiction, through her imprint Earth Patch Press.
