PHOTOGRAPHER: Jim Roetzel is an Ohio native who grew up near Cuyahoga Valley National Park It was Jim s love of the outdoors and exploring the beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley that inspired him to become a nature photographer. An enthusiastic bird watcher, Jim s love and respect for each subject is evident in every photograph. He has experimented with a variety of photographic equipment and techniques over the years, enabling him to meet the demands of changing outdoor environments. However, Jim believes that the most unique and important skills of the bird photographer are developed through a knowledge of each species and its habitat, enabling him to anticipate the photo opportunity that truly reflects the character of the subject. Jim has photographed all over the United States and Canada.
