Dr. Bert Carron is a Professor in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education, the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology, and the Canadian Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology Association. He is a Past President of the Canadian Association for Sport Sciences and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Sports Medicine Council of Canada. In 1998, Bert was a co-recipient of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education¡¯s ¡°Sport Science Award of the International Olympic Committee President.¡± Currently, he is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, the International Journal of Sport Psychology, and Small Group Research. Bert¡¯s research focuses on group dynamics in sport teams and exercise groups. Dr. Heather Hausenblas is the Director of the Exercise Psychology Laboratory at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on the primary prevention of sedentary behavior and weight-related disorders. Heather has received grant support for her research from external funding agencies such as the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute of Child Health and Development. Heather currently serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology. She recently was the recipient of the Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award for outstanding research contributions in the early stage of her scientific career from the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity, as well as the Dorothy V. Harris Memorial Award for outstanding early career development in sport and exercise psychology from the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology. Dr. Mark Eys is an Assistant Professor of sport and exercise psychology in the School of Human Kinetics at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Mark¡¯s current research interests include role ambiguity and acceptance in sport and exercise groups, the measurement and correlates of cohesion, and social influences in exercise. He has published his research in the Journal of Sports Sciences, International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, and Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology. In 2001, he was awarded the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Coach of the Year for his work with The University of Western Ontario women's soccer program.
