Gen has a master's degree in education and a certificate of advanced graduate studies (CAGS) in Organization Development from Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. She is certified in critical care nursing (CCRN) as well as in nursing professional development (RN-BC). Gen has served as an officer of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization (NNSDO) and is past president of the NNSDO Affiliate - North Eastern Organization of Nurse Educators (NEONE). She is an invited member of the National Magnet® Conference Continuing Education Task Force, which is responsible for the selection of conference presentations and posters.
One of Gen's great strengths is her breadth of knowledge. She has lived and worked internationally, giving her a keen familiarity with a variety of health care systems, and she's worked with nurses educated all over the world.
