Once Upon Cape Cod is a collection of essays of Eldridges boyhood years on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This is the classic theme of local small time life, an ideal many still look for but seldom find. These essays in Eldridge's style gently pulls us back. Cape Cod has not deserted its own proportions, in a run of fish, a clamflat, and the endlessly changing shores.

About the Author
Dana Eldridge is a 13th generation Cape Codder on both sides of his family. He was a teacher for nearly twenty years, and presently is an interpretive Ranger for the National Seashore and writes a bi-weekly column for the local paper, The Cape Codder. His association with his beloved land encompasses alifetime in and around the beaches and salt water that permeate Cape Cod.
