Synopsis
Poetry. Art. This collaboratiive book by Charles Bernstein and Susan Bee is lushly produced by Granary Books. The poem, which originally appeared in the magazine SALT, was written at Silver Bay, New York on Lake George. Susan Bee's illustrations frame and provide a Blakean counterpoint to Bernstein's text. Author of over twenty books, including, recently, A POETICS (Harvard) , DARK CITY (Sun & Moon), and SUBJECT (Meow), Charles Bernstein currently occupies the David Grant Chair of Poetry and Letters at SUNY, Buffalo. Artist Susan Bee has exhibited widely. She is the co-editor with Mira Schor of the art magazine M/E/A/N/I/N/G whose 1996 double issue is still avaialble from SPD.
