He and Charlotte Ward write and speak for international audiences.Review:
"Well produced and succeeds in giving a great deal of information. Containing numerous high-quality photographs, the book covers emerald history, present-day mining and commerce, oiling and treatment, synthesis, and imitations, with details of emerald mining in the main producing countries. I recommend the book for all interested in this beautiful stone." --Gemmological Association of Great Britain
"Ward, a Graduate Gemologist, is famous for his inspired gem series in National Geographic Magazine. The book is enjoyable from cover to cover, and I can't wait for the next in the series." --Lapidary Journal
"This easy-to-read, informative, very well illustrated book deserves a place in the reference library of the gemmologist, on the sales counter of the retail jeweller, or on the coffee table of the gem enthusiast." --Australian Gemmologist
