Caring for her mother, Olivia, on the last three days of Olivia's life, Dr. Rebecca Brodie struggles to achieve enough balance in her life to stay on stable ground. As her story weaves back and forth in time, Rebecca is oblivious to the missing clues which not only explain Olivia's actions, but would help Rebecca understand the years of storms created by her sister, Sharon. Rhythms is about the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the expected and unexpected that beat through our lives.

As the caregiver to parents with Alzheimer's and author of a book about it, I found Rhythms to be a most compelling novel.
Jacqueline Marcell, Author, 'Elder Rage'elderrage.com
This story focuses on the very real and very important issue of elder care, especially relevant to the so-called "sandwich generation," now caught between taking care of their aging parents and their own children.

I still have tears in my eyes from reading that ending! That was so unbelievably touching. This whole book was really something special. At first I didn't really know what to expect, but right away I felt comfortable with the tone is which the author set up the story. A wonderful novel from start to finish. But be warned, you might need some tissues. Highly recommend! (5 stars)
