Rockport, Massachusetts, is a time warp. Stroll its quiet streets, gaze out on its granite-girt harbor, and you’ve gone back a century, when New England was New England. It’s this old-time quality that draws Donald Allen Mosher to Rockport, where he lives and maintains a gallery—just as it draws him, season after season, to the coast of Maine and Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, to Martha’s Vineyard and Boston’s Public Garden.
In this joyful collection of New England scenes, share the exceptional vision of one of America’s finest painters. Watch a horse-drawn sleigh jingle past a covered bridge, a schooner glide by a granite wharf, and a cove of lobster boats huddle against a winter storm. What is the special magic of New England, in spring, summer, fall, or winter? The answer is here in the landscape paintings of Donald Allen Mosher.About the Author:
