A humorous account of married life written by Loretta Griffin in the Erma Bombeck style featuring delightful illustrations by cartoonist George Broderick.
With her husband John's permission, Loretta Griffin pokes fun at his foibles - and her own - transforming everyday events into mini chapters describing her life with John in playful terms. The illustrations are hilarious on their own, but as a compliment to Griffin's laugh-out-loud language, this is a book that everyone who loves to laugh will enjoy.

"As a man, I pity poor John, loyal husband and the object of so much spirited fun. But 'Grow Your Own Dope, Plant a Man' is full of self-deprecating humor as well, and Loretta Griffin's wit and insights give both sexes plenty to laugh about. -- Mike Murray, Pearhouse Productions
"Loretta Griffin is the Erma Bombeck of Western Pennsylvania. I'm sure her fame will spread with this book. It's Loretta and John laughing and living. Reading 'Grow Your Own Dope, Plant a Man' made me feel that I was back home again." -- Candace Austin, Writer, Marketing Agent
