Stella shows what can happen when we move from certitude to doubt, from stability to searching. When life experiences seem to tell us that the "right" answers no longer seem so "right:" such a time is an enriching time, a time when life is no longer a matter of going from "question to answer, but from question to question." Stella concludes that "life in all its messiness is a sacred affair."

Tom Stella co-founded Soul-Link, a not-for-profit organization that creates opportunities for spiritual seekers to discover one another and communicate through retreats, small group discussions and community service. He leads a spirituality in the workplace program and serves as a hospital chaplain. A Holy Cross priest, Stella received a Master's degree in counseling at the University of Michigan and a Master's of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame. Previously, Stella served as the director of Holy Cross Associates, a program that offers opportunities for recent college graduates to engage in direct service to the poor and marginalized.
"As we read along, we are reassured of the wondrous nature of this path where deeply accepted bewilderment ripens into awe; where deeply embraced but unanswered questions ripen into humility; where the painful experience of losing old and familiar ways of understand and experiencing God's presence ripens into an unexpected realization that we are at home with God in the intimate details of daily life." --James Finley, Author of *The Contemplative Heart*
