Sylvia Adam's award-winning poetry and fiction have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including the Arc, The New Quarterly, Canadian Author Magazine, Symbiosis and Vintage '91 and '95. She is the poetry columnist for the Ottawa Citizen and has written articles and book reviews for magazines and newspapers.
As a freelance editor, instructor, researcher and consultant, she has moderated writing workshops, given readings and poetry seminars, and participated in many writing-related projects and events in the Ottawa area.
She is currently awaiting publication of her chapbook, unihabitable stones, published by Aurora Editions of Winnipeg, and working on a second novel.
