Sky Humour is about 'raising a family, fixing the roof, chopping fire wood and hunting for grub, about living in southwestern Alberta.' Originally published in 1999 by Black Moss Press, this is a brand new revised edition with a new cover from Frontenac House. 'Outside the clouds roll in/ But they are thunderheads of smoke/ Ash falls softly on the cabin roof/ a parody of winter/ All promise of rain is just sky humour.' A deceptively simple stylist, Marty sees love, death, forest fires, and children as part of the natural cycle. 'I do public relations, reporting on pond mist, sudden death, bird-song and echoes . . .'
