About the Author:
Judith Thornton is a post doctoral research fellow at the University of Leeds. Her research is in the area of water accounting and footprinting, water efficiency and water resilience. Judith has worked with the Centre for Alternative Technology since 1999, including as a Senior Lecturer within the Graduate School of the Environment, and as Head of Biology. She has installed a variety of water and sewage systems, including reed beds, compost toilets and private water supplies.
