These updated volumes of "Objective Structured Clinical Examinations" (OSCEs) have been written for medical students approaching their final examinations. They have been fully revised to include more clinical examination stations and communication skills criteria. Information on the OSCE marking scheme and mock exams make the books ideal for practising with a colleague. The OSCE stations include history taking, clinical examinations, investigations, practical techniques, making a diagnosis, prescribing treatment and other issues. Investigations and interpretations are presented in charts, lists of haematological and biochemical results and radiological investigations. Answers and teaching notes are included to allow self-assessment. This volume covers: Gastroenterology; Neurology and Psychiatry; Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology; Urology and Renal Medicine.

The book is aimed at students preparing for their exit examination and will provide experience in this now widely-used examination technique. The book will also help those setting OSCE questions, providing a template onto which they can develop their own themes.
The book follows a systems approach and each chapter includes questions from each type of OSCE station. Space is left for the student to respond to each question.
Answers and additional advice are given in a separate section, allowing the students to assess their performance and identify areas needing further attention. In keeping
with other books in the series, a revision checklist is given, and mock examinations are laid out: these latter can be undertaken within a prescribed time schedule and used for self-assessment.
