Large, heavy paperback with flaps (like a dust jacket's flaps), 9-1/2 inches tall, 546 pages including bibliography and index. This copy in overall very good condition. Clean, unmarked text. No underlining or handwritten notes. Firm binding--no loose pages--but the spine does have a crease running down the middle. One dog-eared page. Book looks only lightly used. Printed on glossy paper, so it's heavy. Additional postage will be needed for expedited or international shipping. Recipes from various European countries. More info on request. Peter Twiss (1921-2011) was a World War Two RAF fighter pilot and Fairey Aviation test pilot. During the Second World War he flew Fairey Fulmars with 807 Squadron and was awarded the Distinguised Service Cross in 1942. In 1946 Twiss joined Fairey Aviation as a test pilot. In 1956 he gained the World Air Speed Record in the Fairey Delta 2 flying at a speed of 1132 mph. With Appendixes and Index.
