The third volume in this now-established series expand its coverage to examine National Socialist Germany's efforts to develop intercontinental weapons and nothing short of a space program. The author begins by examining whether the V2 rocket was the final development produced by Hitler. He then proceeds to examine, in great detail, Germany's efforts to develop what was called the 'America Rocket', an intercontinental weapon. Much evidence is produced to suggest that planning and preparation were underway for an attempted intercontinental rocket launch against New York at war's end.

A final section of the book examines further German rocketry projects that were on the drawing board by the end of the war, including sophisticated orbital craft. The text is supported by a selection of photographs and diagrams, as well as 16 superb pages of color artwork, including profiles, computer-generated images of drawing board designs, and pictures of the author's own models.

KEY SALES POINTS:
* A superb study of Germany's top secret efforts to develop intercontinental weapons and orbital craft.
* Includes a large amount of detail on numerous projects previously shrouded in mystery, as well as compelling evidence that some designs were in advanced stages of development.
* Features 16 superb pages of full-color artwork, including profiles, computer-generated images and pictures of the author's own models representing many of the projects discussed in the text.

Review:

I knew of these books..there are 3 of them in the series..a long time ago,but for some reason not until recently did i bother to get them..there is the the train of thought that a lot of what is written in them is fantasy..what must be said if anyone takes the time to read the author's preface is that thexse books (to me anyway)put forward possible ideas of what might have been going on..we can only gather so much data and try and re-build a bigger picture to see what might or might not be the truth of the matter..much of the truth and solid evidence is long gone in the mists of the decades after world war two..what we have is shreds of evidence left that we can decide on what is fiction or for real..any way you look at it to my mind is fascinating..there was a lot going on in the Third Reich's Scientific Community to make you wonder how far they would have got if the situation had been a lot differently..A truelly strange part of history which is illuminated very well in this book and the oither two books in the series...Keep an open mind when reading this book then decide on it's merits..Very strange indeed..The huge question is though..What else don't we know about and never will? --David Kirk

This is the story of Hitlers last rockets and unmanned intercontinental weapon-systems like the von Brauns "Amerika Raketen " A -10,A-11 and A-12 .With an incredible range of unpublished information Georgs book is a gripping read . --Larry Petersen
