About the Author:

Laurence Jenkin grew up as an army brat. Within a large family of eight children, he travelled the length and breadth of the Australian continent from one army post to the next. His experiences during these formative years instilled a keen interest in travelling and in contemporary military history - a dynamic period ranging from the Vietnam War (in which his father served) through to the end of the Cold War. Laurence eventually settled in Perth, Western Australia - marrying Natalie and raising their daughter Gabrielle. He completed a Bachelors degree in Psychology and several post-graduate qualifications. All the while, he knew he had some stories inside him that had to get out. Somewhere along the way, he finally made the commitment to sit down and put pen to paper - resulting in his debut effort A Scarred Sky. He is currently pursuing the art of uni-cycle riding while he develops the storyline of his next project. For now, writing is an indulgence rather than a vocation for Laurence - fitting it in between his full-time job and his family. He is more than happy for that to change.

Great read - recommend it. Like that you get some history / war and excitement but also get the family aspect. --Natalie Veitch
