When Mark asked me narrate his book, The Legend of Mordekai Hagg, I jumped at the chance. Its wonderfully written, I just don t know how weaves a wonderfully dark story into verse. Great fun to do and I m sure it will be a success. --Billy Boyd, Lord of the Rings
The reviews on Mumsnet and other sites speak for themselves. Mark s stories are alive and colourful, with real characters and simply wonderful imagery that kids should be reading. Best of all, I get to tell wonderfully dark tales that kids just love to hear. --Jimmy Chisholm, Braveheart, Mrs Brown
I loved playing the part of Dragontail Slimefinger, even if I m cast as baddie. I got to roar and shout and have fun doing it. It s a great story and wonderful that it raises funds for Clic Sargent. --Jimmy Cosmo, Game of Thrones, The Chronicles Of Narnia
Mark was born in Belfast and moved to Scotland in his early teens. After being invalided out of the Royal Navy, he returned to Edinburgh and studied at Napier University, graduating in 1990 and entering the world of telecoms. Having written as a hobby from the age of 17, in 2009, Mark became a full time writer. His first novel, a fantasy adventure called "The Hagen's Quest" will be published in 2013. To assist in raising funds for struggling UK based children's charities, Mark created the concept for a set of six children's books, e-books and audiobooks, entitled "The Tales of Mordekai Hagg", based loosely on the fairytales of the Brothers Grimm.
