From the Author
Wild Ruins was my most ambitious project to date. As you may imagine, researching and visiting so many ruins was no easy task! However after many, many early mornings, leading into late nights, travelling thousands of miles and over-coming my innate lack of organisation I pulled it off-I wrote the book I have always wanted to and I had a real blast on the way. It is rare for an author (especially and English one) to say he is proud of his work but I am proud of this book. If you are visiting anywhere in Britain I would strongly recommend Wild Ruins in your backpack or suitcase. You are just one click away from a real adventure.
About the Author
Dave Hamilton is author of The Self Sufficient-ish Bible and Grow Your Food For Free. He lives and works in Somerset as a writer, forager and gardener. He is a keen walker and explorer and wishes he had more time to get on his bike. His preschool son, Douglas, accompanies him on most of his adventures.
